I purchased a small lot of coins earlier today and these 2 buffalo nickels were included. They look pretty good to me. One slightly better than the other maybe. What do you think?
Nice score! Great looking buffs.

Someone has polished them. Worthless to a coin collector IMO. Make a ring, pendant, or earrings out of them.

I agree, they do look polished.

Once polished, otherwise valuable coins lose 50%-90% of previous value.

Time for more coffee.

They're the 2nd most produced buffalo nickels, so, even if they were uncirculated in MS63 condition, they're not very valuable. You can find Extra Fine versions in coin store bargain box for a $1 or two.

Thanks. All good to know. Not really a collector just buy them when I see them if the price is right.
Just not used to seeing shiny buffaloes in good condition. They are usually barely readable or no dates.
