During the last holidays I visited my grandparents in Poland and had a walk on the fields which are historically huge because there was some kind of a of activity in the Iron Age and there was a famous war between the polish and Sweden on 19th July 1702 later on the fields were used as ammo storages for the armies of Russia and Poland in the 1st and 2nd world war. And this is where I need your help guys. Well I found this buckle of some sort and would really want to know if you guys think it's from that war or if it's a ww1 or ww2 item as my knowledge is basic on this as I'm just a teen. I also found loads of musket balls, parts of the the musket, kilograms of lead pieces, old type horse shoes etc. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

The buckle looks cast and crudely made, I would say it's from the 1700's too. Don't know who would of used it, I don't know any of the history of the area. It would be something you would have to research.

wow, if that didn't get you hooked...nothin will. Very nice showing of finds there. Didn't realize this was in Poland and not in the states, but the horse shoes looked colonial to me. Not sure what that time period is called over there. Nice buckle too, hope you can get an ID ...vn
