help ID hinged cuff/banglet,age,lang,head facing left hallmark

can someone help me ID this antique hinged cuff/banglet,it has 4 assayer mark's(all the same) it was hand made with over a 100 pieces to make it wieghs 30.7 grams was acid tested and is sterling.can anyone tell me where it was made,how old,and what the inscription on the front say's the pictures are at this link http://www.dropshots.com/lumhechati maybe what its worth? thank youhttp://www.dropshots.com/lumhechati thank you so much for any help

Marks look more like Duty marks. If it is Queen Victoria, her head was the last British Duty mark and was not used after 1890.

Is the material silver (I don't think it is)? If not, the marks may be "bench marks" that were used to help keep pieces together as they were fitted.

The script appears to be middle eastern; maybe Urdu or something similar.

Thank you for your response's it was tested for silver and tested out higher than 925,only had i other response on marks as that of being duty mark of Tansinian?hopefully someone can tell men what writing is on the front :thumbsup:

Sorry had it wrong,was told it is (marks) tunisian guarantee fo small wares of atleast 800-1000 standard, :coffee2:/ re:was is marks different?from your post mine doesn't have adamsapple ,and neck and facial is different,just wondering per your response bigsypress thank you for helping god bless ya :thumbsup:

You should respond in order as you go along to prevent confusion. I almost didnt see your question above my post. ;D

Well, you told me it was Tunisian, so I looked it up and posted an example I found online. It looks the same to me. Its an African head looking right. http://www.affordablevintagejewelry.com/vime800sisir.html

It could possibly use some more research to be absolutely certain.

just got send a pic of a standard mark,just the same as this but it's french ----ottoman period maybe back to sqaure one huh,,Help ???

Why cant it be French Colonial Africa? Im sure Tunisia was a French colony.

Thanks for reply,yup french,early french.Went by friends gold refinerie(NTR Metals in doraville Ga.) and ask him to use e-ray specrum the measures amounts of metal contents and it read out at 93% silver.That would fit french duty mark huh? :coffee2: thanks Roy tunsinia became a french colony in 1881 (ottoman) thats what wikipedia say's anyhow thank you for helping god bless

Think it's called x-ray spectrum,thank you've been very help :headbang: just found out from a translator site that the inscription reads ''THE CHILD''? whating to hear what lang.and it's meaning and what the lions represent.believe it is tanisian yup :laughing7:

got different post,how bout,Urdu(tunisian lang.)Tughra-ottoman era--given of title's"the child"refered to Tippu Sultan,emblem represented was the tiger.-web site for tughra----got post stateing writing on front was Tughra-?make's sense time line,pattern,writing,and the tigers on each side???? possible? :coffee2:
