Found East Texas in creek bed where homestead was late 1800
Early 1900’s , part of tool or piece off something , has raised # or lettering , can’t make out

Possibly half a sinker or jig head mold? Have you tried doing a light pencil rub of the lettering?

It is made of iron, not lead , picture color looks grayish. and it is flat, not conical.
