Help Identify a Button

I found this button recently and would appreciate any help in identifying it. Thanks for the help!

It's a Great Seal US military button. That style was used first about 1902. Nice find.

That is not a US miltary button or Great Seal button of any kind with what looks like a crown. Can we see the backside?

BigC is 100% correct! I think what yo have is a fashion button, similar to the one shown in this link: http://www.yarnandfiber.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=21238

The Waterbury website also has one like yours listed under the fashion/eagle heading. The picture is hard to see because of it's small size but it is almost the same as yours.
