Help Identify Specimen

Hi all. I apologize in advance if this is something man-made or something common. But I am new to the rock/mineral scene. So please bear with me. I thought the rock itself was interesting. However, the piece that sort of looks like a tooth, I thought was a bit strange. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It looks like you took this picture indoors with flash on ur camera - could you provide another pic in natural light? Flash masks the luster and makes it difficult to distinguish other characteristics :-)
