HELP IDENTIFY THIS OLD RELIC!

Found this while metal detecting near an old farm house. Any replies or suggestions what it might be please reply! It is a non metallic metal that has some oxidation.

Oh .. I thought it was one of these with sprinkles on top.

I could not find an exact match but it may be what was known as a "chain pull bell".

It looks to me like the top of a fancy jar that one burns incence or other things in? Religious ritual piece?
