Please help identify these items: The first item was found near a piece of cannonball at a early 1600's site in VA. It is a man with a turban and a handlebar moustache. The second item is cherubs found at an old house site. The third item "Common Sense" is a pin, found at an old plantation site. The last one is unknown from an old farm site. The back has a patent date of Feb. 26 and March 2 , '78. I assume the year is 1878

All thats left is to ID the cherubs. Here are some key words: antique OR old, bronze OR brass, two "winged cherubs," "holding bow," arrow, quiver, tree.

Can we see the back and the size?

The last item is a late 19th C clothing clasp. Others like this were recently identified in this forum. All are good finds and in good condition. Congrats.

Thanks everyone for the responses. The one item that I wish I knew more about is the medallion with the turban wearing man with handlebar moustache. I thought it may be related to a Zouave or Hessian soldier as the handlebar moustache was a symbol of rank and the site was a fort during the Revolutionary and Civil wars and earlier.

I dont think its a medallion. The two prongs appear to have attached to leather. For some reason I cannot see the face. Can you paint the eyes or post another pic? Is it a comical face with a big nose and cheeks?

Im just asking because I cant clearly see the face. If its a comical face, it may be another clue that its horse decoration. With the leather attachments, it would not be a medallion. Its interesting.
