HELP Identify

Can anyone help in identifying the attached photo? The blade portion is curved, and the one end looks like a wooden(?) handle might have been on.

Is the pointed end metal, if so it could be a plum bob

Thanks all for your input. The blade is round on the underside and concave in the photo. Thought was that it was a form of scoopula (yes it's a word) used in the pharmaceutical industry.
