Help identifying rock

Was having trouble identifying this rock.Any information would be very helpful. It has characteristic of being quartz but can't be absolutely positive it is.

Granitoid rich in mica? Hard to tell.

You can try nipping the end for a fresh face and a look at the bit you nip off to see how the composition breaks up. Like EU says looks to be a granitoid.
