Help identifying Theodore Roosevelt

I got these glass photo slides as I believe they are from a gentleman that is fixing to move out of the country the image looks real familiar as it’s Theodore Roosevelt not 100% sure what do you think

Yeah it’s very hard to tell there’s 11 of them total and it’s somebody’s wedding

Not Roosevelt, he was blind as a bat and wore glasses.

It says "Duc of Surene" at the bottom of the plate, which alludes to British Peerage or Aristocracy. I would look in that direction for a match.

The text in the bottom right may be 29 Rue de Surène which is a street address. There is one in Paris.

Teddy was in Paris at least once in 1910 when he gave his famous Man in the Arena speech at the Sorbonne.

It looks like Roosevelt, but Indian Steve is right...it was a very popular look.

Thank you for the film clips, those were great! Hadn't seen those and truly enjoyed them. And thank you for having better eyesight and correcting me on the writing at the bottom of the OP's plate, it is indeed an address in Paris.

However, I still disagree. Not Roosevelt.

The coat Teddy is wearing in the film clips had a half back velvet collar, and he wore a tie. Every clip shows him wearing the same coat. There is no tie and the collar is different on the individual in the plate. As Steve noted, the clothing is very similar, but there are differences.

The biggest difference in these two individuals is in the jawline/jowls. Teddy did not have jowls, and tended to clench his jaw when smiling. You see it in every photo of him with a smile. So I have to agree with Steve and say that "it has the look", but it's not Roosevelt.

29 Rue de Surene in Paris was the address for the photographer Vaillant Tozy in the late 1800s to early 1900s. A number of his photographs are lodged in photo libraries specialising in period costumes and such. They all seem to be society wedding pictures, mostly as pairs on glass plates intended for viewing through a stereoscope.

I don’t think there is any connection to Roosevelt. These all seem to be just wedding pictures of swanky folk.
