Hey guys. My name is Dave and I live in north Georgia. I do a lot of prospecting and panning in the area. Recently I found what I thought was a dirty piece of quartz because I could see a little tip visible that wasn't dirty . So I took it home and soaked it in iron out. Today I was cleaning it with some other quartz I cleaned and noticed the over all odd characteristics of the rock and what I thought was black soot of shine kind seems to be coming off but at the same time I am seeing what appears to be gold underneath. Is this a specimen or can you guys tell what I'm seeing. ? Thanks in advance
