Help Id'ing this copper coin please

Found this yesterday near our site where we've found numerous early relics. Not much detail left and pics are after a quick peroxide soak. Not sure how much cleaning I should attempt. Thanks for any input!

I don't know much about colonial coppers at but from what I've seen around here it looks like king george. I think

Definitely a King George half penny and looks to be a KGII. Looks like you should be able to get at least a partial date off it.

Hello Darby,

It looks like an old king George copper! Congratulations!

Does look to be a Geo II Halfpenny, but the head is a little odd,,,,

Now that is a very cool find. How do you plan on cleaning it? Hot peroxide maybe? Well done.

Thanks y'all for the input. Not sure how to continue cleaning. Still researching the best method. Would love to get more detail and see the date! Thanks again for the info.

I don't know much about KG coppers but that looks like a woman's silhouette to me.

Probably a counterfeit KG Copper...

King George 11,
As far as cleaning, anymore cleaning and you will lose what you have..

I agree with Vino don't chance cleaning it anymore.....of it's a blacksmith token some of them are worth quite a bit of money so don't ruin it.

it is pretty cool whatever it is, in some ways it does look a little like a woman

date is at bottom of reverse, measure diameter and weigh it to narrow which Brit. you have. I dug a 1734, 4 over 3 KG Half Penny a year ago in Port Ewen NY, thanks to a load of trucked in dirt for a new town hall. colonial Brits are well covered on the web, so dimensions and what details remaining will get you close to date and denomination. Great Find!!!!

I think it is an old head KGII Halfpenny and not anything else, could be looking funky just due to the wear and corrosion. The only other possibility I was giving it was a CT copper, but really do not think so. Not necessarily a counterfeit KGII either, but could be.
