These earrings belonged to my grandmother and were handed down to me. I am trying to find out the maker and place of origin if any one could please help.

from the front it looks sort of native american, but the mark on the back looks like an eastern european--polish or estonian--figure. it is same female profile seen on polish hallmarks, although it is obviously much larger than ordinary hallmarks. ES=estonia? the 3 may stand for 3rd standard of silver, which in poland was .800. is there anything in your grandmother's history that might suggest she had earrings from eastern europe? they look a little atypical of eastern european jewelry to me, though, so whoever made them may have simply repurposed a piece of flat silver from another item. they look 40s or 50s.
