Help me ID type and age of this button

new cellar hole, dates back to early 1800's as far as I can tell. Found this button there yesterday.

Does anyone know the age/era/details of this? I tried looking for Eagle with Crown buttons, but couldn't find one like it.

The US eagle (at peace - arrows in left talon), but with a crown instead of the constellation of 13 stars and no breast shield. I'm guessing it's off a civilian coat.
