Its round and separates to expose the stamp which says: RC Oct 18 1969. Its silver and has a little clasp on top that is pulled to open it.

Could it be a hand stamp from a rock concert that took place on that date? HH

Do the letters and numbers look like they could be removed/changed at one time? Hard to tell from the photo but the letters and numbers look like typeset. Because it's in reverse and clips into the other part I'm thinking it was a stamp.

BK, it could be because October 18, 1969 was on a Saturday. Breezie

I thought that too initially but I cant remove the letters at all.

I wouldn't think you could at this point since it's so old and they may have used wax or similar to set them. Are they separated at all that you can see?

Either way... still looks like typeset letters.

I agree I think its a manual stamp. Just interested in where its from, but could be someone's personal stamp too.

I'd say the date commemorates something a busness an event? What history do you know about it or where did you acquirer it? HH

I have no history and I actually decided to hunt my property. I agree the date does commemorate an event. Im going to check with Property Appraiser to see what existed here before my home.

Maybe it's an early Rotary Club stamp. I'm sure the date was able to be changed because it wouldn't make since to construct such a stamp that was only good for 1 day or a single date.
