I'd say it's not from Netherland..looks like arabian..Not sure though..

Hey, Killer...

1942 Netherlands East Indies (Indonesia) 1/4 gulden. .720 (72%) silver. Actually struck at the U.S. Mint in San Francisco.

Thanks my friend...I knew that I'd found some info on this coin regarding the Netherlands...Just couldn't remember. I think I paid 50 cents for it and the scan doesn't do it justice as it is in great condition! Did they contract for these to be made in the U.S.?
