Hey,

It seems to say on the bottom "----- Gibbs Electric New york Dec 1 96. It would have spun on its frame at one time. Any ideas? My search brought up sewing machines.

Turns out it's a quack electromagnetic therapy device from about 1900. Meant to "remove all wrinkles and blemishes" from the user. I'd post pics of what I found but I can do it on my phone. Search JW Gibbs or such
