Help please, I'm lost.

I'm usually pretty good at researching my finds on my own and figuring them out but I'm absolutely stumped. I've tried getting good pictures hopefully someone will recognize this.



I'll call this the front. Just for reference





The center circle on the back side appears to be a separate piece that was pressed on to the front piece.
Also possibly some sort of material still smashed in between. The material could be my eyes playing tricks on me tho. A few places have a bronze brass type shine to them. Ive tried cleaning but a lot of the finds from this site are crusted in almost concrete! Thanks in advance for any info!

Reminds me of the center of an old roller shade... But I can always be wrong.

Me too. Roller blinds clutch gear.

Looks like one of those roller things on the bottom of a wooden chair leg, would've had a steel ball in the center.

yep maybe those star points are to tack into the wood or leather. I dont believe its a roller shade part or any type of gear.
