Hi I could really use some help with this stone. It is a heavy sterling ring marked 925 with no makers mark. The stone is a brownish color with tons of sparkles in it.

Hey koolaidsmile, my wife seems to think the stone is a sun stone. I don't know, I haven't seen one before. If it was blue, I would have thought lapis.

Agreed. Looks like sunstone to me. Maybe late 60's?
