Help to identify please?

These two finds are from Greenwood S.C. I have scoured the Internet as best I could and have come up empty. Any help would be appreciated!

Brass from a 12 gauge shot gun shell. The top was paper which is now gone. Western is the brand.

Ok. I'm confused. Is it 1907-1936 or 1898-1940?

The "72" is likely a tool tag, not something that can be attributed to a manufacturer. The stamp and style is early 20th century (ish).
