Help to Identify

Picked up this colonial student desk with inkwell. No manufacturer markings. Can anyone help identify it and perhaps send photo of adjustable footrest? Mine is missing and I'd like to recreate the footrest. The plan is to put it back into use for my Grandson.

No idea about origin. It doesn't appear to be very old though.

From what I found, foot rest looks like plain slats (like the seat).
Or solid foot rest.
