I will not be fooled twice. Being pretty resistant to poison ivy, I once got convinced to weed wack a patch of it. I don't care how resistant you are(I was able to roll around in it and dig the stuff up bare handed if I wanted) but turning that stuff into shredded flying plant pieces and plant oil was a bad idea. Lots of steroids were needed

I watched a few videos and this chainsaw brushing looks pretty easy.
Heading down to Walmart to pick up a saw.
Is Stanley a good brand? I know they make hand tools.


Never mind about help. I should have that patch of brush cleared myself in no time.

Been nice weather, think I'll probably work on my tan. Shorts and no shirt.

Thats a great idea. post pics when you are done with the ER.
Just dont burn the stuff. I met a couple who burned a bunch of poison ivy. They got in the smoke and breathed it....nearly kilt them and they looked like lepers

I was just joshing with you all.
You won't catch me touching poison oak much less slinging it around with a chainsaw or burning it!!

Yesterday I hiked AROUND that pile of crap and found something interesting.
An old mine shaft and the camp site the miners used while working it.
Previously unknown to me.

Actually my grandma breathed a bunch of smoke from burning poison oak when she was pregnant with my dad. He is not affected by poison oak.

If you aren't in too much of a rush, sprinkle a few pounds of ordinary table salt around the bush. It will kill it and keep it from growing back for a while. But it will also kill any other vegetation near it.

I know someone that can pluck the leaves off of the plant and eat them.

Made my stomach flip first time i saw him do it.

Couple of leaves a month while they are there for immunity...

Not a program i would start lol.

Some people don't get poison oak,but that dosen't mean they cannot get it.eating it for immunity is a crazy thing to do and an old wives tale which can result in serious illness.A sprig off a branch was found in a 100 year old botany book and the active agent urushiol was still potent.When I was hard rock quartz vein gold sampling I had pretty good luck wherever the poison oak was growing..strange but true.

Ya Dave poison Oak is a guardian of the gold. There seems to always be something guarding the yellow metal!
