Help with 1893-s Morgan to settle estate

Well, the s bought out of her half on the coin did not agree with my valuation. SO, Im going to be sending it in the PCGS to be encapsulated and graded so there will not be any disputes over the grade. I think its thee fact they have always heard it was a $5k coin and thats what they are expecting. Im trying to make them understand the difference between what the valuation says in the Red Book, What people are asking for them on ebay, and what they actually SELL for.

Ill update post in a few weeks when it gets back from PCGS.

One solution is to let them buy you out at the $5000 value, and use your share to buy a nicer one for less money.

I'm seeing $3000 range on Ebay. $3000 to $3200 on PCGS coin prices.

Good luck with the people expecting $5000...

Yes, it looks like the last PCGS VG-10 coins to sell on ebay went for

$2807 w/ 15 bids

There was one other that sold but it was a Best offer accepted for less than $3130.

I think good honest estimate of its cash value would be $2900- $3000. Hopefully I can get the sibling being bought out to accept that as being very fair. I appreciate everyones help on this. Im looking forward to getting it back in the holder even though I don't get to keep it, lol. Ill update with a picture in the PCGS holder when it comes back in.
