Help with a hat emblem

This is a what I think is a hat emblem that was found in the attic in Rock Hall Maryland.
Would like to know what time it is from......guessing civil war. it has four wire prongs soldered to
back. appears to be stamped Brass. hat emb1.jpg

This looks to be the same emblem under my post of Private William Steele who the last pic is Albert James Bearden Dartt . I was trying to figure out the symbol and may have found it know .Take a look and see what you all think.
