Help with button Please! New Pic added!

Found today in area that dates back to the civil war era. Intricate design showing a crown and a "T" in what appears to be a crest of some sort. Anybody got a hint on this one?

I take it the back is missing?

I don't think so, it looks like a one piece button. The stem on the back is visible but appears to be broken off.

Looks old & British to me.

Doesn't look British to me.

Crown looks more Dutch.

the body of the button body looks to me to be similar to a 1800 - 1820 ish one piece "flat" button design--- the crown? humm --
