I am myself a vintage jewelry gal and do not know a lot about buttons. This was in a lot I purchased and I thought it might be military? I have not seen anything like it and thought I would put it out the experts. Thanks for any help!

I don't know anything about the front, but that backmark was used from 1860-1934.

I don't know if this is related but it does sound similar to yours - the image is so small I cannot make out the details; however, rather that this being a motorcycle related button, now thinking it is bicycle touring/racing related and from the 1920's?
