Button with eagle says Waterbury Button Co on back. The one with the Stars has more of a rivet on the back, rather than a ring. See last pic for back view. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

The first is a pre-1902 General Services coat button. Sources say that back mark was used from 1849 - 1965. They switched to Great Seal buttons in 1902. If found in SC I'd say Civil War button. Good shape, too.

I believe the second is Korean War era fatigue jacket button. I have an OD jacket with those buttons I bought at an Army-Navy surplus store back in the 70's.

Thanks for the info. I should have specified, but yes, both buttons were found in Sumter county SC.
