I just dug this flying eagle yesterday and it has a great amount of detail on it. There is not any pitting. It should clean up nice, but need to know how. I know peroxide will probably ruin it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You might try a water pick type appliance, or perhaps a vibratory jewelry cleaner. Anything that doesn't require brushing or harsh chemicals. Its a fairly common coin, but I know since you found it thats not the point.

Thanks Jeffro. I soaked it in distilled water and used a tooth pick. It cleaned up really nice! I am posting pics on my original post on today's finds. Thanks for your help!
