Help with gold hallmark

Not sure but I think it reads this way and I think it says 18k. No help on the other mark, which I assume would be a maker's mark.

Thank you for taking the time to look at it.
In fact this is supposed to be a very valuable gift made to my mother (I hope it's ok that I posted it here...).
According to my dad, it's supposed to be 24K, although I was told that's not possible and he might very well be wrong...
I had not seen that "18".
