Looks like some field finds. Knifes, tools and worked pieces. Not sure the quartz is anything maybe they busted it testing the material? No real point I.D to give an age. But if you found those there has to be more. Good luck with your hunts you are finding artifacts.

That rough stuff is hard to see on a screen. Most of them have to get a I.D. in hand. Sometimes I post stuff that are artifacts and some call rocks on them. I try not to post the crude stuff unless it shows use wear.

I understand, some of the better pieces are easier to validate but unless you can hold and look at the rougher pieces it is hard to make a determination from a picture. Thanks , Carl

Rock, I am going to take your advice and quit posting finds that don't pose for pictuers very well and need to be in hand with a magnifying glass to see what the pics can't show.I enjoy your comments, thanks my friend, Carl

I don't see any thing wrong with your post. All of these pieces seem to be Debitage and a couple have great utilization. I think maybe you took Rock a little wrong. Pieces like these are tough to put a title on. I usually call the utilized pieces like this flake tools. If they show no utilization but obviously came off of a larger stone, I call those flakes. If you are finding stuff like pictured here, that's a good sign. You got the right key, but the wrong key hole. It's close by though!! I promise!!

NC field hunter, thanks for the encouragement to continue posting rough pieces, I only post the ones that are ergonomicaly good even those spots look a little rough, but when you got what I think is a double end scrapper, which fits the hand either way, or maybe it's a knife ? I agree it is ugly but it sure would get the job done...Carl
