Help with identify

From what I can see in your pictures I would say a naturally battered and fractured rock. I don't see any evidence of flaking on it anywhere.

K thank you

The Reaper is dead on, keep looking and enjoy the hunt.

Although Reaper is correct, there is a artifact that does share this same form. It is known as a Teshoa knife in Pennsylvania...They are made from river cobbles..... Your piece exhibits no man made flaking......hope this helps...........GTP

I was thinking more along the lines of an Ulu, but I can see that as well. Just no flaking on that piece that I can see in the picture. Might be different in hand.

I agree.....there is no evidence to support this being a artifact....Ulu's are generally found in Alaska but i've seen some finds to support a change of region. I've seen several examples from Northern US, all the way to Alaska. They were made of Slate though. I've never seen a example come from the northern center of the U.S., just northwestern and northeastern U.S......which I find odd........

Bannerstone?

Yes sir, half of one anyway. Looks like a broken "winged" type sometimes called semi-lunar, obviously drilled using the hollow cane method an has a raised
(round or square?) barrel, can't tell for sure from the pictures.
They're pretty rare to find. Assuming you found it, congratulations!

Thank you for the response, yes it is round barrel. Yes I did find it had it for awhile but never knew what it was until I recently started gathering all of my rocks to put in a display case
