Any ideas of 1st two objects and what the name plate might have been used for. Guessing from late 1800s to pre 1930s. Thanks in advance.

1 looks like an ashtray, 2 is an old cosmetic powder tin, and 3 is a buggy makers tag
Thanks creskol. The 1st doesn't have "slot(s)" for cig, no channel. Not saying it isn't an ashtray because it appears to be the right size.1 looks like an ashtray, 2 is an old cosmetic powder tin, and 3 is a buggy makers
Regarding the powder Tim that creskol identified, definitely late 20s 30s because of the art deco designs. Nice find!!Any ideas of 1st two objects and what the name plate might have been used for. Guessing from late 1800s to pre 1930s. Thanks in advance.
Thank you Torrero. Don't believe it's an ashtray. If it is, very small and not very deep all.Duck piece is very beautiful, nice find !
Given its size, I suppose it could be a trinket dish, but I'm still holding on to the ashtray idea. Not all ashtrays had dips to hold the cigarettes.Thank you Torrero. Don't believe it's an ashtray. If it is, very small and not very deep all.
What about the depth itself would that be a better way to tell? It's shallowGiven its size, I suppose it could be a trinket dish, but I'm still holding on to the ashtray idea. Not all ashtrays had dips to hold the cigarettes.
Yes, I've researched his story and haven't tied it to the property I was on. If you have a newspaper database you will find more about the murder. From suspects, evidence found, lynch mobs, and a claim of him being a long lost relative missing for over forty years.Look up Adam Hoffman, Albion, IN. Quite interesting.
I guess I'll go with ring/trinket dish. But as my Fanduel account will show I'm bad at wageringSo if YOU had to wager a guess....what do YOU think it is? Just curious if you had any speculative ideas on it.![]()
