You are correct - this question "should" have been posted in the HELP section:
HELP!
To add an image to a post, click on the 3rd icon from the right (right to left) above the section you type into. If you let your mouse pointer hover there, it'll say Insert Image.
If the image is on the internet, enter the URL of the specific image. Make certain it is of the image and not the page the image is on. Right click your mouse and choose Copy Link Location, then paste that location into the Insert Image box. The end of the URL should have .png in your case. Click Ok and the file will upload to your post, though it will show a script - it will say something like this ATTACH123456/ATTACH, but the words ATTACH will be in []'s.
If the image is on your PC, click on Browse to find the image you wish to upload. Click on the image, and then click Upload.
