Help with lock

Found this lock at a old home along the shores of Lake Erie.? The house was built in 1812 and was originally used as a stage coach stop along the route from Erie, PA to Buffalo.? Any info on it would be great.? It measures 1 1/2" long and 1" wide.

Bogiedot i found this one which is very similar to yours? at a dam site the dam was built in the 1920's the lock is made by Yale.? ? Raoul
