hoping the collective knowledge out there may be able to help us. My 11 year old son is trying his hand at a bit of trading and has purchased 4 gorgeous teacups and saucers at a garage sale. We have identified the maker as Morley Fox & Co, but are at a loss as to the meaning of the marking DY8ART. we have been to the library and are on a bit of a treasure hunt!
Any insight would be greatly received

From what I can find out, Morley Fox & Co was an earthenware manufacturer at the Salopian Works, Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent, England from 1906 till 1944. The DY8ART mark is most likely the pattern name.

I don't know which is "worse", Diggummup.......you helping an 11 yr old and creating another treasurer hunter like ourselves or me finding it awesome that you did and liking your post. LOL
