HELP WITH PLASTIC SAND SCOOP

Howdy kids
Just sold my house, after closing I?m heading to the beach for some digging
I have a very nice aluminum hand scoop , but last trip to gulf shores was a sign prohibiting metal.

Where can I get a solid plastic hand held scoop for sand?

Strange that they prohibit a metal scoop......never heard of such. I would have to wonder if the scoop police would be called on you....

Mine is a grain scoop, for filling the feedbags for horses, I suppose. Anyway, I reinforced the handle with wood and drilled some holes (smaller than a dime), and works quite well for dry sand, and not so gravelly stuff, too..!

Good idea!
The other plastic scoop that I use in archaeology doesn't have holes, but is a flat-bottomed, and is solid and tough-handled....
So, you'll have to figure out what's available, and do it...!

How about a no-metal (floating) sand sifter,made from a 5 gal. bucket.
