there is a type of signature or some markings on it on 3 to 4 places an all look to be the exact same mark? and then "AAT OR AA1 on the top or first picture. Thanks for any help.

So for sure its a Boot Jack? Thanks guys! it's cool when every now and then you come across something that you have no idea what it is. I was thinking something like a train lock, like to keep carts together but then again it would be to small. also like a chain link gait lock

I cant say what it is but it does not look like any boot jack I have seen.
