So, I recently (re) discovered an old spoon I had had and tossed in my miscellaneous junk pile and decided to look through the pile and find hallmarks and dates/compositions and I came across this odd one. WM Rogers is found everywhere online as is the eagle and the star, but mine has 4 separate stamps, star, eagle and an "S" along with the familiar WM Rogers stamp.
I can't seem to find any information anywhere on it, sadly I don't have a working scale at the moment nor do I have any silver testing acid, but based on the hallmark and the spoon's design, can anyone date it? Or better yet date it and know the composition? Since WM Rogers is a fairly old company and often times coin silver wasn't marked as such is that a possible composition?
