[Red Earth]

A fellow I work with brought this in. I thought it was a brachiopod. The pics aren't that good. The yellow part is strange looking to me. It has lines down it like a shell.

The yellow part is the cast. The cast is composed of minerals which filled the mold created by the the brachiopod shell after it dissolved.

I have quite a few brachs that I've found over the years and never saw one like that
