Because I beat the Hell out of it!:laughing7:

So about 5 or 6 years ago, my wife and I would come to MD on vacation, and that’s when I started drooling over this OLD stone house, dreaming of beeping it. I even tried to get a permission, got told to get lost.
Fast-forward to our move here, still wishing and dreaming of this massive property.
My wife gets a job (about time), with a local girl, an older lady, super nice.
Turns out, ITS HER HOUSE!!!
It’s been in her family for 5 generations, and she says she’s been asked many times to let others detect, but has always chased them off.
Also says “you won’t find anything” and that her brother already detected it, but all he found was nails.
I can’t even breathe.

Labor Day I cherrypicked the high tones, Friday after work I gridded the side yard, then yesterday I beat the snot out of that turf. Dug just about everything, and have the massive amount of trash to prove it.

So let’s get to it...

Some oddball bling...love the bell

Silver goodies!
Topaz stones in the earring, milky blue stone carved into a scarab, with silver bezel, a brooch, and the FAT buckle, made by the Hickok company.

Random tokens, but also a Dog Tag, 1874! Nothing on the back, oldest I’ve ever found.

About 40 wheats, mostly teens and 20’s, and the 01 IHP

3 each V and Buffaloes ...1897, 1902, 1903, a 37, other two are dateless.

And finally...Barbers, Mercs, and Washington’s, Oh my! And the Bell of the Ball, 1935-S Walker:occasion14:

So that’s the best hunt I’ve had in years, thanks for looking!:hello:

Well done Dave.

BTW... in case you care...

Your "topaz" piece might be glass... it is from a "scarab bracelet"... now they did make them using real stones so it may still be stone... but more were made using glass than stones.

The topaz piece is the earring on the left... the scarab, next to it, I was wondering where that came from.
