I am a PM refiner by trade have been for the last 32 years. We do recovery on industrial scrap materials. Electronics, waste chems, Auto Catalysts, Carbon based Catalysts etc... I am taking a bar down today to sell. We cast this bar back in 91. I thought you all might enjoy a Picture. The metal was purchased at around 400 a troy oz and we are selling today at 1240 give or take

Pretty cool, how much does it weigh?

$124,000....OMG! I need me some of those...LOL.

100.08 the weight is stamped on the bar lower right hand corner .999 fine upper right This was done chemically. Digested the materiel (CPU Processor chips when they used to be loaded) and selectively precipitated the metal out, Then melted and poured in an open mold using a hydrogen flame to keep the metal clean while it solidified. The rings develop while it cools from the outside in.

Very cool! VERY cool, indeed!! .....Ok, now tell me again what type/brand/model detector WON'T find this at 8"?? ...Just wanna make sure I avoid that stick-with-a-display. :laughing7:

That is just beautiful! Thanks for sharing, too.
It's strange, our allure for this stuff, this noble metal. :notworthy:

Oh, and I love your sig at the bottom, LOL. Yep, one heck of a ride! :laughing7:
