Went to the 3rd annual BeetleFest. Due to the pine beetles, brown is the new green. Lumberjack shows are always fun to watch, especially the log rolling.

Well felinepeachy, it is necessary to roll these logs 3 times when they do these shows, maybe less, because best 2 out of 3 wins.

That looks like fun, we have these around here every year.
Peachy, the 'log rolling' is a throwback to the old days when they floated logs off a mountain on a wooden flume, then tied them in rafts on the river to be floated to the sawmill, that's when it came in handy to be able to ride the logs.

... and to continue with Fossis, you would have to walk out on the logs and un-jam it. And strangely enough, there's way more logging going on in SE Oklahoma than there is here in the middle of the Rockies.
