I am from Everett, WA and I just started Metal Detecting just today. My husband and I found some cool things with some other types of bottle caps and tabs I have a Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505 and my husband has a Sovereign GT Metal Detector. We just used my husbands today at a local beach near Mukilteo and found a bunch of things along with some big rocks with some mineral deposits in it.

We got this at 12'' and we used my husband's Sovereign GT to find it. Can anyone tell me what this could be?

It's Aluminum Slag! It's my first find anywho but I will keep my eye out on the bigger prizes on the beaches and hopefully at the Shipwrecks if there is any near me.
