Wow you guys have some of the best stone, that's banned agate. I would die for that, it may be a small point but the color makes it a super size find. Thanks for posting and keep it up. HH:notworthy:

Yes, just think what a quiver of those would have looked like.

Think that they were a status symbol? or only cared that they were razor sharp?
 

well, actually this'n and mine aren't all that well worked or special...pretty utilitarian actually. Just imagine being so blase' about something so beautiful..."ho hum..this looks like the right kind of rock to smash into little flakes and make sharp things out of"... but when you think about it, I have about 2,000 carnelian and chalcedony agates that I have picked up over the years, can't pass one up if I see it. I have jars and bowls full of them sitting where they will catch the sun. Where would and Indian put such a collection, why would he bother...

"yep, this is the right kind of rock to make that" sounds about right to me.
