I went to a spot I've been hitting this week. Got a couple of silver quarters and an 1882 Indian. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1443217487.654127.webpBut this is the find of the day!!

I guy a quarter signal and out popped a makeup case. I took it home, worked it open and got the hinge loose. Burnished the case and waxed it for shine. Says patent date 1910. One of my favorite finds lately!

Good find! Try some of the make up. You could look like this...

Just don't put a SLQ in it 'cause you may not make it home with it!

What a cool find! Try the makeup. Don't worry about the lead. :laughing7:

That compact is a cool find. I've found a few myself with the last one being octagon shape. Silver is always good. Congrats.

HEY THERE SCRAPPY DOOO SEE YOU FOUND A QUARTER AND NEAT OLE COMPACT TOO.

Congrats on those 4 keepers Scrappy. I have yet to pull 2 silver quarters from 1 site in 1 hunt. That compact will display nicely. I use a printers drawer that hangs on the garage wall to display some of my oddities, cool finds and relics.

Cool find on the old make up compact, I know of a guy who used one as a holder for his good finds, rumor has it he put his 1st SLQ in it and guess what?.......yep he lost it. Tragic...

Lol good job on the quarters and indian too!

Heyyyy, that was an inside joke until our buddy Chris told me just now! So where did u loose this supposed compact? A cross street and town would help;)

Cool find! How come my make up tins are always empty? Lol

A few years ago I found a "three Merry Widows" condom tin. I opened it....the "device" was still inside!

Probably shouldn't have asked her to try it then......

Nice "snatch" of silver there Scrap!

Haha lol. What coppers?! As soon as I plan for coppers I stop finding 'em!

Nice little find Steve. To find a compact with the "War Paint" still in it is unusual.

I this is the first one I found containing dry powder. I rubber some off on my finger and it won't come off now[emoji41] Now the condom tin has never happened to me...

Nice score:occasion14: the few I've found are all broken:sadsmiley:
