I went to a spot I've been hitting this week. Got a couple of silver quarters and an 1882 Indian. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1443217487.654127.jpg But this is the find of the day!!

I guy a quarter signal and out popped a makeup case. I took it home, worked it open and got the hinge loose. Burnished the case and waxed it for shine. Says patent date 1910. One of my favorite finds lately!

Enjoy, because my wife thinks it's disgusting.

Just don't put a SLQ in it 'cause you may not make it home with it!

That compact is a cool find. I've found a few myself with the last one being octagon shape. Silver is always good. Congrats.

Congrats on those 4 keepers Scrappy. I have yet to pull 2 silver quarters from 1 site in 1 hunt. That compact will display nicely. I use a printers drawer that hangs on the garage wall to display some of my oddities, cool finds and relics.

Cool find! How come my make up tins are always empty? Lol

A few years ago I found a "three Merry Widows" condom tin. I opened it....the "device" was still inside!

Nice little find Steve. To find a compact with the "War Paint" still in it is unusual.

I this is the first one I found containing dry powder. I rubber some off on my finger and it won't come off now[emoji41] Now the condom tin has never happened to me...
