It looks like a very damaged cent to me. Keep looking though and I am sure you will eventually find a cool error coin.

Also, Welcome to Treasurenet!

Yep its a penny damaged but keep looking there are many error coins in circulation recent and old and not many people evr check their coins. Smart to post it though and get some opinions Tommy

Also welcome to tnet.

I have a coin...

I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard. You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

As stated, not fake just badly damaged. Looks like it spent some time in a parking lot!

you must get excited pretty easily

Welcome to tnet from Niagara Falls. Certainly looks damaged to me.

:hello: Welcome from Northern Virginia!

you must get excited pretty easily

I agree! If that damaged zinc cent gets you excited, come detect with me where I hunt.......you'll be wetting your pants all day long! :laughing7:

Yes, Welcome to TreasureNet!

Newer Lincoln Cents have Zinc in them, and the copper goes away fast! Damaged coins go even faster,
with an open avenue for moisture to enter. They'll just BLOW Up! (....or, can I say that "B-word") :laughing7:
