Hi there. I'm new to this but need some direction please

My father owns a LOT of land in Brooksville, fl (I know that some Civil War battles were fought there and more interesting LEVY County) is it worth it to metal detect in those properties? What special finds are possible especially Levy County. Anyone ever find anything there? Thank you.

What research have you done? Have you googled the county? Looked at maps online? Check with the county's historical society? Old newspapers? You are more likely to get answers through these sources than through Tnet alone.

But in the end, nothing beats taking a walk around and trying out your detector.

2nd - You didn't mention what State you are from BUT you did mention about MD'ng in Florida - so, you might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Florida for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to Florida.
