Still real mild weather, no gloves so far this year!
The days are drawing in, so we only managed 5.5 hours of gridding. Today we started in the middle & worked Eastwards, & we have now covered what we think is the main area. Therefore, we will leave the 3 edges for a later date, & try somewhere else next time.
Today's total takes us to 322 Roman Bronze Coin for Nov, our previously best Nov. was 150!!

51 Roman Bronze Coins
Near Complete Roman Bracelet
Nice Trumpet Brooch
Broken Fibula
Roman Bronze Bead
Iron Age (Celtic) 'Iron' Penannular Brooch (never seen one, only 1 recorded on the PAS, that I could find)

It's not hard work if you enjoy it.:icon_thumright: But we do make a career out of it...lol

Awesome finds! :occasion14:

Awesome again! :icon_thumleft:

Wow! That bracelet is so cool! Iron brooches and fibula are so hard to find. I only know them from archie digs, never out of a field. Congrats, stunning results again!

Whoa ho! That bracelet is bad arse Cru! Lots of bronze though...where’s da silvah’?

I know we are due 1 as we normally expect about 1 in 50-70. However, my conclusion at this time is that its a small rural settlement (poor). However, hopefully we will get 1 more before gridding the whole field - 27 acres. (it kind of needs it, even if some is outside of the Roman scatter - because other period finds are about)

That's a pretty spectacular November total you've accumulated. What's the plan for December? Congrats on some really great finds.

Look at the other available fields & continue gridding this field.

Nope, you see every hunt. I have less productive days, but this year we have really refined our targeting of the right places at the right time.
